The new SensoBaby term starts this week and we are bringing the magic of story telling to all of our classes! Sessions will be inspired by much loved children’s books and authors and we’ll be exploring different ways to tell stories and communicate with our little ones.

There’s no better book to start off with than ‘Giraffes Can’t Dance’. A modern classic and beautifully illustrated picture book written by Giles Andreae. It tells the story of Gerald the Giraffe who feels sad and lonely when he can’t join in the Jungle Dance because he’s so clumsy. With the help of a friendly cricket, Gerald finds out that we are all different and “we all can dance, when we find music that we love”.

There are some lovely messages in this book that we hope we can use to inspire parents, caregivers and most importantly, our little ones.

There is beauty in nature, music in everyday sounds and pleasure to be taken in the simplest things!

We are all unique, inspired and motivated by different things. When it comes to children, their development is not a competition. They thrive in different settings and grow at their own pace….we just have to help them find their music!

Everyone at SensoBaby is looking forward to seeing your unique little ones this term. Stimulating and nurturing them, inspiring and being inspired by them, helping them explore the world through their senses and watching them dance to their own beat.

If you haven’t visited us before, your first class is free, so why don’t you give it a try?!
